Aldingham Nursing home

The day was overcast and breezy but luckily with no rain and not enough wind to endanger the job. We had a nice dry open field to work in giving us good access all round to the tree. On-site was Christopher our foreman and rescued climber. Arun our groundsman and machinery operator. George our lead climber. This mature sycamore had been damaged by continuous winds since Christmas and the roots had lifted allowing the tree to lean towards the building and areas where the residents walked.

The tree was dismantled using ropes access climbing techniques and rigging was used to bring the tree down in safe size sections creating minimum damage to the ground. On site we had a large tracked chipper and a high capacity 4 x 4 tipper to remove waste which allowed us to complete the job quickly and efficiently with minimum trips on and off the site creating minimum ground damage.

The job went exceptionally smoothly everyone on site got an early finish! Our new customer was very pleased with the work and is keen to have us assess more all of the trees on their site.
